Groundbreaking in Rome: Daimler Buses builds new service center.

Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Bomporto di Sorbara (Modena), Italy - Daimler Buses has started the construction of a new service centre in the metropolitan region of Rome. The plant in Fiano Romano, around 40 kilometres north of Rome, is scheduled to take over maintenance work and service for Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses from the beginning of 2027. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in mid-March in the presence of representatives from politics and enterprise. The new location replaces the previous service centre in Monterotondo, which is located slightly further south.

The new building will cover an area of around 11,500 m², of which around 3,000 m² will be covered workshop areas. There are 25 bus parking spaces and four workstations for high-voltage vehicles. Daimler Buses intends to further strengthen the service network in the region with this investment.
