Daimler Buses Neu-Ulm plant puts over 1,000 PV modules into operation.

Neu-Ulm - The Daimler Buses plant in Neu-Ulm is commissioning a new photovoltaic system. In total, the enterprise installed 1,107 modules on the roofs of the administration building and the delivery hall over an area of more than 2,700 square metres. The total output of the plant is around 640 kilowatts peak. The new plant produces around 680 megawatt hours per year.

Daimler Buses uses the generated electricity to cover part of the site’s electricity requirements. The plant supplies energy of a size that is sufficient to supply both the canteen and the entire administration building. On days off at the plant, Daimler Buses uses the electricity to cover the entire base load at the site. This investment in renewable energies underlines Daimler Buses’ commitment to energy efficiency and environmental protection.
