The three-axle high-decker combines advanced safety systems, high comfort and the typical Mercedes-Benz manufacturing quality, which meets practical requirements and delivers measurable added value. The 13.72-metre Mercedes-Benz Tourrider has between 56 and 60 seats, depending on the configuration. The heart of the drive system, which is used exclusively for coach applications in North America, is the in-line six-cylinder Mercedes-Benz OM 471. With a displacement of 12.8 litres, the major assembly delivers 450 hp (336 kW) and achieves a maximum torque of 1550 lb-ft (2300 Nm). Power transmission takes place via the Allison WTB 500R automatic transmission with torque converter and six gears. The vehicle is available in the Business and Premium models and offers touring coach operators in North America the highest levels of comfort, safety and luxury.
