Daimler Buses plant in Neu‑Ulm commissions over 1,000 PV Panels.

Neu‑Ulm – The Daimler Buses plant in Neu‑Ulm has commissioned a new photovoltaic system. The company installed a total of 1,107 modules covering more than 2,700 square meters of rooftop space on both the administration building and the delivery hall. The system has a total capacity of approximately 640 kilowatt‑peak and generates around 680 megawatt‑hours of electricity per year.

Daimler Buses uses the generated electricity to cover part of the site's overall power demand. The system supplies energy of a magnitude sufficient to power both the canteen and the entire administration building. On days when the plant is not operating, the electricity produced covers the site's entire baseload. This investment in renewable energy underscores Daimler Buses' commitment to energy efficiency and environmental protection.
