Production start of the Mercedes‑Benz Conecto at Otokar in Sakarya.

Daimler Buses, Mercedes‑Benz Türk and Otokar have started series production of the Mercedes‑Benz Conecto in Sakarya, Turkey. The additional production capacities support the continued high demand for city buses in Europe. The first customer deliveries are planned for the first half of 2027.

With the start of production at the Otokar plant in Sakarya, the cooperation between Daimler Buses, Mercedes‑Benz Türk and Otokar agreed in 2025 reaches its next important milestone. The expanded capacities are intended to support Daimler Buses and Mercedes‑Benz Türk in serving customers in Europe reliably and in the expected number of units.

Series production was preceded by a successfully completed pre‑series phase. Daimler Buses supplies Otokar with the main components of the vehicle as well as special equipment for production. An experienced team from Daimler Buses accompanies production on site.

The Mercedes‑Benz Conecto is designed for a high passenger capacity in urban traffic. The low‑floor bus is available as a three‑door solo bus and as a four‑door articulated bus. The continuous low‑floor design allows passengers to board and alight on the same level as the ground.

The Conecto has been in use in numerous European markets for many years. Since 2025, Daimler Buses has also been offering the Mercedes‑Benz city bus in Germany, thus complementing the European product portfolio for public transport.
