The proven OM470 is appreciated by operators for its enormous reliability and efficiency. The durability and low fuel consumption of the six-cylinder in-line engine are legendary. Despite these excellent values, the engine specialists at Daimler Buses have managed to reduce consumption even further in the latest generation of the OM470 engine.

Faster updates, safer driving.

The update to an optimised electronics architecture opens up new possibilities for fleet operators of Daimler Buses touring coaches. With over-the-air updates, software updates are transferred wirelessly to the system of your buses - without any time delay and without a workshop visit. And you not only benefit from greater service convenience, the update also includes new assistance and safety systems.

The digital services from OMNIplus ON expand the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive to include intelligent and networked navigation functions. The Navigation Services Package is made available via the OMNIplus ON Portal after activation.

The Tourismo sets all-new standards with its sophisticated standard safety technology. Numerous electronic helpers have been integrated to assist the driver and prevent accidents. These include ABA 6 Plus, Sideguard Assist 2, SPA and AtAs 2 for fatigue detection. Another unique feature in the Tourismo segment is the Front Collision Guard (FCG) to protect the driver and attendant in the case of a frontal collision.

The ABA 6 Plus emergency braking system assists the driver by automatically initiating emergency braking if there is a risk of a rear-impact collision with vehicles in front or stationary obstacles. It can also detect moving or stationary persons and cyclists in front of the vehicle. The system can respond with an audible and visual warning as well as automatic partial or full-stop braking.

The modern MirrorCam system enables a clear and comprehensive view of the road traffic. Equipped with high-resolution cameras, driving safety and the risk of accidents are minimised. The extended field of vision enables the driver to detect pedestrians, cyclists and other road users in the vicinity. This eliminates the blind spot when turning right.

Active Sideguard Assist 3 monitors the front and side areas of the vehicle and assists in critical turning and lane change situations. The system detects conflicting traffic and warns of collisions in good time; during turning manoeuvres, the focus is on objects and road users relevant to the vehicle's intended path. If the driver continues the manoeuvre despite danger, a stepped warning is issued with active brake application to reduce the danger.

Attention Assist (AtAs) 2 is a safety assistance system that can help prevent microsleep. It thus contributes to improved driving safety, especially on long journeys and when driving at night. The system warns the driver visually and acoustically when it detects typical signs of overtiredness or inattention and prompts him/her to take a break. The warning is independent of the electronic logging device (ELD).

Active Drive Assist 2 actively assists the driver with distance and lane keeping by combining various assistance systems. The system can brake, accelerate and keep the vehicle on track through active steering movements. To this end, it combines the functions of the individual systems in a unique way and thus already enables semi-automated driving in all speed ranges.

The innovative Traffic Sign Assist offers maximum safety and comfort on the road. Thanks to GPS and camera support, the vehicle speed is constantly compared with the current traffic regulations.

Frontguard Assist is an advanced system that was specially developed to warn drivers of pedestrians located immediately in front of the vehicle and also to warn them of an impending accident. Whether you are pulling away or driving slowly (up to 9.3 mph), the intelligent assistance system can detect potential collisions with unprotected road users.

Active Cross Traffic Assist supports the driver with automatic brake applications for crossing vehicles in the angle range of 65° to 115°. The system works over the entire speed range and supplements existing assistance systems by reacting specifically to crossing vehicles.

The flush driver’s windows and the AquaBlade® windshield wipers are also visual highlights thanks to the dynamic design idiom. Whether in classic tourist transport or long-distance service: passengers want connectivity and passenger information systems. The Tourismo can be equipped with a WLAN router. This allows your guests to conveniently surf the web while on the move. For even more entertainment, the Coach MediaRouter offers a streaming function that lets you provide your guests with a selection of music or movies.

All information is bundled in the new coach cockpit.

With the product update, Daimler Buses is consistently driving forward the digitization of touring coaches. Numerous physical switches are replaced by intelligent digital control elements. Many functions can be controlled intuitively via the optimised touchscreen - just as naturally as on a smartphone or tablet. Frequently used functions can still be assigned as buttons, selected features can even be conveniently activated by voice command. All relevant information is centrally bundled on two displays, the main screen and the touchscreen. Trip data, fuel consumption and other important vehicle data are clearly structured and available at a glance at all times. This relieves the driver in their daily work and creates the fundamentals for an anticipatory, efficient and economical driving style.

Tracking-based sliding seat rows for a larger wheelchair space. Simple one-person operation allows up to three rows of seating to slide forward or backward to suit journey requirements.

Configurable as required

The seat rows can be locked in position at any point along the tracking. Cinema-style tip-up functionality allows for easy stowage.

A flexible space

With all three seat rows pushed forward or backward, the wheelchair area at its largest can be a generously sized space. Depending on requirements, the size of this space can be reduced to reinstate another seat row.

Without compromise

Fold out tray tables and footrests remain accessible to passengers wishing to use them.

With consideration for vehicle maintenance, the seat tracking includes clip-in plastic trim inserts. Attached when the seat rows are positioned as desired, they prevent the ingress of dirt into the floor tracking and mitigate additional cleaning duties.

Quick release: a removable pin and pull-handle mechanism

A one-person operation. Removal of the safety pin while pulling the retractable red handle unlocks the seat row from its existing position. Now, in an easy-slide fashion, the seat row can be moved by hand in either direction and re-locked in its new position anywhere along the tracking.

It is still possible to remove one or more seat rows entirely from the vehicle. However, this task would require more than one person.

The 2-axle Tourismo is ideal for flexible use. With 51 passenger seats (standard seating) over a length of 12.3 metres, it can cover school trips on weekdays and excursions or short trips on weekends economically. Several engine variants can be selected depending on the range of applications. Its 21.6-metre turning circle underlines its manoeuvrability.

Tourismo M/2

Luggage compartment wonder on two axles.

When maximum profitability counts, the 2-axle Tourismo M/2 is a very good option. With a length of 13.1 metres, it can already accommodate 55 passenger seats in the standard seating. Its luggage compartment holds an impressive 12.1 m3. With the choice of several engines, the Tourismo M/2 can cover almost all types of travel.

Tourismo M/3

Pure agility on three axles.

It is the superiority of three axles over a length of 13.1 metres that makes the Tourismo M/3 a mobility talent in the coach segment. Its turning circle is only 21.4 metres. The maximum capacity is 59 passengers. The perfect Tourismo touring coach can be configured from several engine and transmission variants.

Tourismo L

Long-distance professional for many passengers with a lot of luggage.

With a length of 13.9 metres and three axles, the Tourismo L has a maximum capacity of 65 passengers. Impressive: the large luggage compartment measuring 12.1 m3. The Tourismo L underlines its long-distance ambitions in combination with the powerful Euro 7 engines with up to 335 kW performance.

The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo is suitable for classic tourist transport, long-distance scheduled services and other tourist applications. The vehicle can be adapted to different requirements thanks to different variants, axle configurations, seating capacity and equipment options.

The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo has numerous modern safety and assistance systems. These include Active Brake Assist 6 Plus, Active Sideguard Assist 3, Attention Assist 2, Active Drive Assist 2, Traffic Sign Assist, Cross Traffic Assist and Front Collision Guard. These systems help drivers to identify potential hazards at an early stage and reduce the risk of accidents.

The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo relies on the proven Mercedes-Benz OM 470 and OM 471 engines. The engines have been further optimised as part of a comprehensive product update to further improve efficiency and fuel consumption. They are complemented by modern transmission solutions.

The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo is available in several variants, including the Tourismo M/2, Tourismo M/3 and Tourismo L. The models differ in terms of length, axle configuration, luggage compartment volume and passenger capacity, among other things. This allows bus companies to choose the variant that best suits their requirements.

The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo variants differ mainly in terms of length, number of axles and capacity. The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M/2 is the economical two-axle vehicle for up to 55 passengers. The As a three-axle vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M/3 offers more capacity for up to 59 passengers. At 13.9 metres, the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo L is the longest variant and, with up to 65 passengers, is particularly suitable for operations with high space requirements.

*The climate control system and the refrigerator of your vehicle are filled with R-134a refrigerant and contain fluorinated greenhouse gas. The information labels with detailed information on the refrigerant type used are located on the respective units. Please refer to your vehicle Operator’s Manual.
