Based in the West of London, next to Heathrow Airport, Westbus enjoys a well-earned reputation as one of the most successful coach operators in the capital. With over a 40 year history, Westbus has seen continual growth in its operations and fleet size – becoming one of London’s most recognisable operators. A modern and varied fleet of over 35 vehicles seating from 29 – 85 passengers ensures a travel solution for every journey and a high-specification vehicle to match. While the business focus is on London and the South East, the operator also supplies coaches for travel to destinations throughout the UK and Europe.
In-keeping with the operator’s commitment to delivering the best for its customer base, Westbus has taken delivery of eight new Mercedes‑Benz Tourismo M3 coaches. Each vehicle comes built on tri-axle chassis with PSVAR compliancy and factory fitted wheelchair lift. Seating capacities vary from 53 in Luxline upholstery to 57 in Travel Star Eco Plus.
The new fleet will be split with three Tourismo coaches in Evan Evans Sightseeing Tours livery, and five vehicles in the distinctive Westbus maroon and gold colours.
At the handover, Tim Miles – General Manager for Westbus comments “Returning to the Mercedes‑Benz brand was a natural choice given the current Tourismos in our fleet continue to impress. We hope to exceed expectations even further with the new flagship vehicles.”
The eight new Mercedes‑Benz Tourismo M3 coaches delivered to Westbus were supplied by Mercedes‑Benz Coach Sales at Daimler Buses UK Ltd.
