The De Decker – Van Riet (DDVR) family business operates in public transport and as a subcontractor for De Lijn. In addition, DDVR runs tank transport operations for the chemicals industry. Business Unit Manager Rudy Werelds: "We were looking for a partner with a quality product and the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro definitely fits the bill. We appreciate the collaborative approach of EvoBus and their desire to embark on the electrification journey together with us. This for us is a major positive". The Mercedes-Benz eCitaro is deployed in the Antwerp province. "Our prior expectations were that we would still be able to run 80 to 90% of our services with the eCitaro without any problems. We now see that this has indeed become reality."
