Two years ago Mercedes-Benz Buses launched their new dealer sale model, an instrumental decision taken with the primary aim of bringing bus sales closer to its customers. With sales taking place across four strategically located dealerships in the country: Sandown Commercial Vehicles, Orbit Commercial Vehicles Cape Town, Ronnies Motors and Stucky Motors. Today, we took time to check-in with Sandown Commercial Vehicles on how it's going and what bus customers can continue to expect from the dealership.

Located on the N1, Centurion, Sandown Commercial Vehicles, is conveniently accessible to customers. The dealership boasts a dedicated bus sales team, along with a specialized bus centre to fulfil customers' aftersales/workshop requirements. Having the resources, facilities, coverage, and the know-how they are able to provide small and large customers with seamless technical, maintenance and parts support for buses. In addition they have an emergency breakdown service - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We spoke to Garfield Masuku, the Key Account Manager for Mercedes-Benz Buses at Sandown Commercial Vehicles, where he unpacked his views on the evolving bus market and the positive impact the new Mercedes-Benz Buses sales model has on the customer.

The bus industry is steadily recovering since 2020 and our outlook for the year remains positive. We look forward to further growth and developments, both in our new and used bus business.

I look after Gauteng, Limpopo, North West, and Mpumalanga regions.

Customers can now come into the dealership and have a touch and feel of the vehicles that they are looking for. They get impressed seeing the facility and leave here confident that they are dealing with a sound business that can support their business requirements.
