Founded in 1924, Hodge’s Coaches is a well-established operator which enjoys a large and loyal customer base - many of whom continue to use the operators’ services after over fifty years.

Seating 55 on a 12-metre chassis, the two new Mercedes‑Benz Tourismo coaches provide luxury and comfort for all on board.  Double USB sockets, footrests at all seats and ambient interior lighting add to a premium experience.  The driver is provided a heated seat with swivel functionality and a leather steering wheel.

With destination display systems and a factory-installed, power-operated wheelchair lift on both vehicles, as part of full PSVAR specification, greater passenger accessibility is attained.

In addition, both coaches come equipped with advanced safety technology including Active Brake Assist 6, Sideguard Assist 2 and a rear-view camera, supported by periphery lighting for reverse gear. 

Power to the coaches is supplied by the Mercedes‑Benz OM 470, 315 kW EURO VI engine coupled with a 6-Speed ZF Ecolife 2 transmission.

The two new Mercedes‑Benz Tourismos delivered to Hodge’s Coaches were supplied by Mercedes‑Benz Coach Sales at Daimler Buses UK Ltd.
